Historic Huguenot Street - May 1 to October 31

Historic Huguenot Street features seven authentic stone houses dating to the early 1700s, a burial ground, and a reconstructed 1717 stone church, all furnished and set on six beautifully landscaped acres surrounded by a nature preserve.  Groounds are open and programs offered year-round.

May through October:  10:30 to 5:00 except Wednesdays.  April, November, and December:  11:00 to 3:00 weekends.  Guided tours available for a small fee.

Henri IV Anniversary - October 7 to October 10

7-10 October 2010: Henri IV Anniversary          

Long weekend in and around Paris to mark the 400th anniversary year of the assassination of one of France's most popular monarchs, and the promulgator of the 1598 Edict of Nantes.  Many events are being organized nationwide.  Those wishing to attend must orgainise their own travel to France to join Huguenot groups visiting exhibitions in Paris, and at the Chateaux of Fontainebleau and St. Germain-en-Laye.  For full details of all the Henri IV commemorative events:  http://www.societe-henri-iv.eu.

Annual Luncheon Huguenot Society of America - December 4
The Huguenot Society of America will hold its Annual Luncheon and Ceremony of the Loving Cups on Saturday, the fifth of December, 2010, at the Union Club in New York City.  Guest of honor will be Nicholas Dungan who will speak about Albert Gallatin, America's Swiss founding father, and subject of Mr. Dungan's new biography, Gallatin, America's Swiss Founding Father co-published by New York University and the Swiss Confederation.  We will be celebrating the 250th anniversary of Albert Gallatin and his Huguenot roots.  He was born in January, 1761, and raised in Geneva.  Upon immagrating to the United States, he became a U.S. Senator, a Congressman, the longest-serving Secretary of the Treasury, U.S. Minister to France and Britain, and the first president of the Council of New York University, among other distinctions.  And, it is to be noted that he was a contemporary of John Jay.
